Welcome to BYCT

    Who Are We?
  • Bucks Youth Cricket Trust is a small organisation which exists to support the development of youth cricket in Bucks
  • BYCT is a registered charity so we can maximise the amounts donated to us in tax efficient ways
  • We use our funds to help individuals, clubs and other cricketing organisations having a demonstrable need for financial support
  • The ability of the Trust to support Bucks Cricket is entirely dependent on the generosity of individuals, businesses and other charitable funding agencies.
    How Do We Work?
  • All that we do is governed by the terms of the Trustís Charitable Objects as set out in the Trust Deed.
  • Within that framework the Trust supports:
    • projects to improve junior cricket in the County
    • individual clubs to enable significant improvement or expansion of their junior organisation
    • young cricketers who would benefit from funding to enable them to take up development opportunities.
    • disability cricket
    • short-term assistance to alleviate hardship
    • youngsters who take ECB ACO training and qualify as umpires or scorers
  • All applications made to the Trust are considered with great care by the Trustees who endeavour to ensure that the greatest possible benefits are secured from the available funding.
  • Because we are a small voluntary organisation with limited resources and no employees much of the financial assistance we provide is directed towards Bucks Cricket Board to aid its comprehensive programmes bringing cricket to schools across the county and to young players throughout Bucks (including Milton Keynes)

How You Can Help

The ability of the Trust to support Bucks Cricket is entirely dependent on the generosity of individuals, businesses and other charitable funding agencies. Any donation is, of course, most gratefully received but it is especially helpful for the Trust to receive regular contributions, as this enables us to plan ahead with a more certain revenue stream.
That doesn't mean that we don't want single donations or fund-raising events - far from it!

There's a whole range of ways you can help us
  • To make a tax-free donation, click on the VMG icon on this page or visit our Tax-Free Giving page for more details on how you can support BYCT.
  • Fundraising: You can also support the Trust by raising funds via our Virgin Money Giving site when setting a personal goal or celebrating a special occasion.

Following the sad death of Chairman and founding Trustee Cliff Pocock at the end of 2014 Bucks Youth Cricket Trust has lost not only a stalwart friend and driving force, but also somebody who helped raise a great deal of money for assisting youth cricket in the county. It will take a long time to replace his wide knowledge of cricket in the county and his unrivalled list of contacts in Bucks and the whole cricketing community of this country.
At present the Board of Trustees is continuing under the Chairmanship of Mike Logan and is strengthening its links to Bucks Cricket Board.
The Trust now wishes to recruit further Trustees willing to spare a little time to support youth cricket in the county. It is a rewarding role and no previous experience of trustee work is necessary although we are looking for responsible people with common sense, discretion and a love of cricket. For more information, please contact John Bushby, one of our Trustees
