Tax-Free Giving

You can support this excellent cause by making powerful and tax-efficient contributions. Some arrangements () can be made using Virgin Money Giving which makes this easy for you to do and reduces our own administration.
There arevarious ways in which this can be done:
  1. Gift Aided Donations
    • Any donation is, of course, most gratefully received but it is especially helpful for the Trust to receive regular contributions, as this enables us to plan ahead with a more certain revenue stream.
    • Income tax payers can make individual donations under the Gift Aid scheme.
    • For every 1 donated, the Trust will then receive an additional 25p from the Government.
    • Donors who pay tax at the higher rate can reclaim further tax relief on their donation
    • You can also donate if you don't pay tax or prefer not to Gift Aid your donation but BYCT would then receive your contribution without anything extra from the government.
  2. Fundraising
    • Join in an organised event to raise money for charity e.g. the London Marathon
    • Organise your own event or set a personal goal e.g. a sponsored silence or losing weight
    • Mark a special occasion, e.g. a special birthday
    • Raise money in memory of someone close to your heart
  3. Payroll Giving
If your employer, company or personal pension provider runs a Payroll Giving scheme, you can donate straight from your wages or pension. This happens before tax is deducted from your income and so it has the same effect as if BYCT claims Gift Aid from a donation. More details: click here
  4. Legacy Giving
If your estate is liable to Inheritance Tax, you could reduce the amount due by choosing to give money to charity. You can either leave a fixed sum (known as a 'Pecuniary Legacy'), or part or all of your estate once other gifts have been distributed (known as a 'Residuary Legacy').
If you decide to leave money to BYCT, make it clear exactly which charity you want to receive your gift by using our full title and registered charity number (Bucks Youth Cricket Trust - Registered Charity No. 1109636). It is always advisable to have proper professional advice when making your Will.

  5. Donate directly
If you prefer not to use VMG you can donate directly by sending us a cheque or by direct bank transfer (in which case please let us know what you've done so we can acknowledge the gift). If you are able to add Gift Aid we have a form available for you to use - click here
